Harriet Tubman

ree

Harriet Tubman risked everything to lead others to freedom. Even when danger surrounded her, she remained steadfast and full of faith, trusting in God to guide her path. Harriet’s courage and unwavering light inspired countless people to move toward hope and safety, even when the way forward was uncertain.

She teaches girls that faith isn’t passive—it is action. Harriet didn’t wait for someone else to solve the problem; she stepped forward repeatedly, relying on her inner light and God’s guidance. Every step she took, every plan she made, was deliberate and grounded in hope. Young women can learn that shining their light sometimes means taking initiative and trusting that doing what is right will have an impact.

Harriet also demonstrates that perseverance strengthens your light. She faced exhaustion, fear, and opposition, yet never gave up. Faith keeps the light burning even in the darkest nights. Girls can take courage knowing that their efforts, no matter how small they feel, contribute to goodness and change in the world.

Finally, Harriet’s life shows the power of selfless service. She put the needs of others above her own safety, embodying a light that draws people toward freedom, justice, and hope. Keeping your light shining often means looking beyond yourself and helping others rise, even when it’s hard or risky.
