Sunburst Self Portrait

LIGHT WITHIN ME

Concept: Our divine identity is radiant — we carry heaven’s light in our faces and hearts.

Materials:
Large sheet of paper or cardstock
Crayons, colored pencils, or watercolors
Mirror for self-reflection
Optional: gold/silver pens or glitter glue

Instructions:

Have the child look in the mirror and describe their smile or eyes.
Draw a circle for their face in the center of the page.
Add rays of color bursting out like sunshine.
Inside each ray, write words describing their light (kind, brave, creative, helper).
Decorate each ray. Display the portrait for the week as a reminder: This is what God sees.
