Children of Light
INVITATION
Welcome to Children of Light — a tender first step on a sacred path of goodness, truth, and wonder. This program is not about lessons to complete, but about learning to see — to notice God’s light in songs and stories, in nature walks and quiet acts of kindness. Each month offers a small treasury of beautiful, simple experiences designed to awaken the heart.

A Word to parents
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Children of Light — a gentle beginning for your little ones on the path of goodness, truth, and wonder.
This is not a program to rush through or check off. It is an invitation — a way of seeing the world through heaven’s eyes, where every leaf, song, and moment of kindness becomes part of a child’s education of the heart.
Each month, your family will receive a treasure trove of simple, beautiful resources to help you explore one great theme of light. You’ll find short videos, songs to sing together, stories to read aloud, little science wonders, and art projects that open hands and hearts at once.
While the older children — the Guardians and Keepers of Light — learn these same virtues in their own classes, your younger ones will be discovering them right beside you at home. You are the “Nurturer of Light” — the one who helps these seeds take root through daily life: a story before nap time, a song while folding laundry, a walk outside to see what God is teaching through nature.
Every activity is meant to spark wonder, not work. You might choose just one or two each week — a painting, a scripture verse, a simple act of kindness. The goal is not to do everything, but to create an atmosphere where light is noticed, spoken of, and loved.
Your child will also have a small Children of Light poster, with wax-seal stickers that match the medallions of their older brothers and sisters. Each seal marks a virtue practiced — a heart moment, not a task completed. As they grow, these little circles of light will tell the story of a soul learning to choose the good.
In time, you’ll see that this isn’t only a children’s journey — it’s a family one.
As you pause together for these small moments of beauty and truth, your home will quietly begin to glow with what heaven loves most: peace, presence, and joy.
One of the great blessings of teaching children in this season of life is that we get to begin again with them.
As we return to the simple truths they are learning — to the seed thoughts of divine identity and light — we reset our own foundations.
Their questions and wonder invite us to check our footing, to be sure we are still building upon truth.
In their purity we remember the purity of our own beginnings.
We remember the wonder.
We remember the joy.
We remember the Light.
If you want to draw close to joy, spend time here with these souls, and even sharing these activities with our older children with return us all to the simple days of wonder.
Their hearts are the classroom of heaven, and when we teach them, heaven teaches us too.
Thank you for letting us walk beside you. You are the heart of this circle of light — and your children will learn by the light they see in you.
With love and light,
The Youth of Light Council
A Word to LEADERS
Dear Leaders,
The Children of Light program is intentionally different from the Guardians and Keepers experiences. These early years are a tender, formative season, where the most powerful teaching does not come through structured activities or group instruction, but through connection, imitation, and shared wonder with a parent.
For young children, light is learned first through relationship — by watching, listening, and experiencing goodness alongside the ones they trust most.
Because of this, Children of Light is designed to support the home experience. Parents are the primary nurturers of light, and the program’s role is to gently equip them with beautiful tools they can weave into daily life. As leaders, your support matters deeply.
Encourage parents to go slowly, to choose just one or two elements each week, and to trust that small moments carry great weight. Affirm that singing a song, reading a story, or noticing God’s creation together is enough.
You can support families by reminding them that there is no pressure to “keep up,” no expectation to complete every resource, and no comparison between homes. Celebrate presence over productivity, connection over completion. When leaders speak with confidence about the quiet power of these early years, parents feel permission to teach through love, consistency, and example — and that is where the deepest formation begins.
Thank you for honoring this sacred beginning and for helping families protect this gentle season of light.
With gratitude,
The Youth of Light Council
