Keepers of Light
The Experience

Gathering Circle
As the girls gather, the room is quiet and warm, with candles glowing at the center to remind them that Christ is the Light they are keeping. Gentle music or stillness sets the tone, and everyone takes their place in a circle—no one higher, no one lower, all equal before God. Here, in this sacred space, each Keeper is invited to share a “God instance”—a moment from the week where they felt faith, saw goodness, or recognized His hand in their life. These simple stories become sparks of light, weaving together a flame of sisterhood and testimony that will guide the rest of their time together.
Light Offering
In the Light Offering, each girl receives a scroll sheet where words of truth can be written and preserved. Together, they open with a scripture and a story of Christ or a faithful woman who reflects the month’s theme, read aloud by one of the girls to let their own voices carry the message. For a few minutes, they listen, learn, and then talk through questions that invite them to see how the lesson touches their own lives. When the reflection is finished, the scrolls are placed into small boxes—symbols of treasures gathered for the heart, reminders that each truth is a gift of light they are keeping safe.

The Spark
The Spark is where each Keeper takes the week’s lesson and turns it into action. It is more than a craft or task—it is a living expression of light. Each medallion has a spark requirement. For example, during the month of the Lantern, the young women might paint or decorate tea lights to remind them to shine; for the Feather, they may write or draw the impressions the Spirit places in their hearts; Encourage beauty, stillness, and mindfulness — the activity is how the virtue is practiced. Each Spark is a way of saying, “The light is not just within me—I can share it.”
Reflection & Medallion Ritual
Each young woman who has completed her spark, path and promise that month receives her medallion in a short, reverent ceremony.
Leader: Call her name with gentle honor. Invite her to step into the circle. Place the medallion in her hand, saying the conferral saying on the poster, and allow her to attach it to her mirror.
Other Young Women or Leaders may softly say: “Shine on” or “Keeper of Light"
Spend a little time allowing the young women to select a path (a goal related to the month's topic) for the next month.

The Closing Circle
Return to the circle used at the beginning of the day. Encourage all young women to stand in a circle, holding hands. Recite the Keeper’s Oath aloud together to end the day.
Keepers' Oath
I am a Keeper of the Light.
I carry beauty, truth, and kindness wherever I go.
My words heal. My hands create. My spirit shines.
I remember who I am.
I will not forget the light within me and where it comes from.
