The Breastplate of Righteousness
Divine Integrity

The Muster
Call the young men to warrior stance by saying,
"Guardians, assemble!" (Use drums if avaliable)
Lead the group in simple breath work.
Invite calm and strength.

The Flame
Invite the Guardians to share their quests experiences from the month, encouraging both successes and challenges.
Then, briefly introduce the new medallion and virtue from the top section followed by sharing one of the mentors from below.
Right over easy is my stand;
I guard my heart with mind and hand.
When shadows press or doubts ignite,
I rise with courage, choose the right.
A Guardian's honor doesn’t bend—
I walk with truth and I defend.
“Watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds.”
-Mosiah 4:30

The TRIAL
The Trial is a physical challenge designed to awaken the body and mind to the virtue being practiced that week. It could be a race, a teamwork exercise, a silent challenge, or a test of restraint — but always with spiritual purpose behind it. The Trial helps anchor the pattern of the program: Listen. Act. Remember.
It begins with listening to a story or principle that sets the tone.
Then, the youth act — putting that principle into motion with their whole body.
Finally, they remember — through reflection, a written vow, and the medallion that seals the moment.
This rhythm of action and reflection helps move truth from the head to the heart — and into real life.
Here are some suggested activities to go along with Divine Integrity:
Laser Tag: Put on your laser tag gear just like knights would put on the Breastplate of Righteousness. Guard your heart to avoid getting hit by being honest and true even when no one is watching. You are choosing what is right instead of what is easy.
The Inscription & Quest Selection
After the physical trial, the young men will be gathered with their legion (age based group) for the inscription of the name of the mentor onto their sword or when a medallion is earned to write their vow on their sword and select a quest for the following month. The quest is part of what they need to do to earn the medallion. Encourage the guardians to come up with their own meaningful quest related to the virtue or to select a quest from the suggestions below:
Speak truthfully in all situations for the entire month, even when honesty is uncomfortable or costs something.
Complete all schoolwork, chores, and responsibilities without cheating, cutting corners, or taking shortcuts.
Admit mistakes immediately instead of hiding them, making excuses, or blaming others.
Keep every promise made during the month, no matter how small.
Choose not to lie, exaggerate, or mislead in conversations, stories, or online interactions.
Return or report anything found that does not belong to you.
Act the same way when adults are not present as when they are, especially with rules, language, and behavior.
Defend what is right when others are being dishonest, even if it risks popularity or comfort.
Practice integrity in games and sports by following rules strictly and accepting losses honestly.
Spend a few minutes each day reflecting on actions and correcting anything that did not align with truth and righteousness.

The Circle of Fire

Gather the guardians to a circle once more to award medallions & conclude the day as follows:
As a Leader awards an earned medal: "You remembered who you are — a son of God. You guarded your thoughts and chose truth over doubt. You are now trusted with the Helmet of Salvation. May your mind stay clear and your spirit anchored in identity and light."
Recite together the Guardian's Oath:
I stand as a Guardian of Light.
I speak truth, even when it's hard.
I strengthen my heart with honor.
I walk in peace, but I stand bold in battle.
I guard the sacred, at all costs.
I am a son of God — held by Heavenly Parents.
I grow strong in truth and courage,
when I carry light into the world.
I will protect the light within me!
