LIVE SCIENCE EXTENSION

Concept: Just as plants turn toward sunlight, our spirits grow when we turn toward God.

Materials:
Two small plants (bean sprouts, seedlings, or grass in cups)
Window with sunlight
Paper and pencil for notes

Instructions:

Place one plant in sunlight, one in a darker space.
Check daily for several days.

Record changes in color, height, and direction of growth.
After a week, compare: the plant in light is stronger and greener.
Teach: “Plants need sunlight to grow; we need spiritual light to feel strong and happy.”Optional: Draw both plants and label: In the Light / In the Shadow.
