Jesus Christ

Every knight of the Round Table had to know two things. Who he was. And whom he served. Without that certainty, courage would fail. Loyalty would weaken. The enemy could confuse him or turn him aside.

A knight who forgets his allegiance becomes vulnerable. The same is true for us.

The Perfect Example of Divine Identity

The clearest example of Divine Identity is found in Jesus Christ. From the beginning, Christ knew who He was—the Son of God.

When Jesus was only twelve years old, His parents found Him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening and asking questions. When Mary questioned Him, He answered:

“How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”
Luke 2:49 (KJV)

Even as a boy, Jesus understood His mission. He was not confused by the voices around Him. He knew whom He served.

Identity Gives Power to Resist

Because Christ knew who He was, He could stand firm when tested. When Satan tempted Him in the wilderness, Jesus did not argue with fear or doubt. He answered with truth.

Scripture says:

“Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”
Matthew 4:11 (KJV)

Identity gave Christ strength.

Not pride.
Not position.
Truth.

Knowing who He was allowed Him to love perfectly, serve faithfully, and give His life willingly.

Remembering Who You Are

The Helmet of Salvation protects the mind by anchoring identity.

Paul teaches:

“Take the helmet of salvation…”
Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)

Salvation reminds you that you are not fighting alone.

The Book of Mormon declares:

“Remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation.”
Helaman 5:12

When you remember your Divine Identity, fear loses its grip.

Confusion fades. Purpose becomes clear.

Bearing the Name with Honor

Knights rode into battle bearing the crest of their king. Their armor declared who they belonged to. As disciples of Christ, we carry His name.

Scripture teaches:

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ… and deny yourselves of all ungodliness.”
Moroni 10:32

Knowing your Divine Identity changes how you live.

It shapes your choices.
It strengthens your courage.
It reminds you why you stand.

Never Fighting Alone

Christ knew who He was—even when others doubted Him.

Even when they mocked Him.

Even when they rejected Him.

Because of that, He endured.

When you remember your Divine Identity, you fight with heaven on your side. You are not alone in the battle. You are known. You are called. You are strengthened.

Reflection & Pondering

Take time to think deeply about these questions.

  1. How does knowing your Divine Identity affect your confidence and courage?
Why do you think identity and courage are connected?

  2. Jesus showed who He was through service and obedience.
What is one way you can show your identity through service this week?

  3. When others doubt, criticize, or mock you, what helps you remember who you truly are?
What truth can you return to?

Final Thought

A knight who knows his king does not hesitate. A son who knows his Father does not fight in fear.

Put on the Helmet of Salvation. Remember whom you serve.

And walk forward carrying the name of Jesus Christ with honor.
